Some of these formats are supported with technology based on transparent use of the external engines already installed on the user computer
(now the app can use CorelDRAW 10-X5, Corel DESIGNER 12-X4,
Corel WordPerfect 12-X4, Ghostscript v7+, and
MS Office 2003+ Document Imaging for these purposes).
Using OLE, the app can extract and show amazing thumbnails and previews for
DOC, RTF, WRI, XLS,
XLT, XLW, PPT, POT,
and PPS files (requires Microsoft Office 2000+), DOCM,
DOCX, XLSB, XLSM, XLSX,
XLTM, XLTX, PPTM, PPTX,
PPSM, PPSX, POTM, and POTX
files (requires MS Office 2007), VSD, VSS, and
VST files (requires Microsoft Visio 2000+), VDX,
VSX, and VTX files (requires MS Visio 2007),
XAR and WEB files (requires Xara X /
Xara Xtreme / Xara Extreme Pro).
Except it, the app is capable to receive full texts from majority of these files.
The program provides instant preview of any plain text files (TXT, INI,
BAT, CPP, PHP, any at your choice).
It supports the majority of the text encodings for plain text (including UTF-8, UTF-16BE, UTF-32LE, UTF-32BE, etc.),
provides synchronous scrolling of the text in plural text windows, the multi-source copying of the texts from several files by one click, etc.
The app provides unique Quick Search feature. This component provides the search for keywords, notes, other metadata in XMP, IPTC, Exif,
Adobe IRB metadata sets, and some vendor-specific metadata blocks, just as on entire file text for CorelDRAW X4-X5, Corel DESIGNER X4, MDI,
MS Office 2000+, MS Visio 2000+, HTML, plain text, and some other file types. Besides, the search is possible and on offline (non-mounted)
CD/DVD disks too.
The program provides batch export of thumbnails for all supported formats from the app database, and batch conversion for all supported
formats (the app can save exported images in BMP (Windows and OS/2), JPEG,
JPEG2000, GIF, PNG
and TIFF).
The application shows version, type, keywords, notes, size, and other file info (e.g. file fonts, linked files, overprint info, etc.
for AI, AIT,
CDR X4, CDT X4+, PAT X4+,
CSL v5+, and INDD CS+ files) in infotips and in separate window.
The program allows to rotate, scale and mirroring the thumbnails. Support of displaying all pages for multi-page files.
Built-in animation engine allows to display animation for plural files in the app thumbnails window directly
(in this release for animated GIF files only). The app supports optical character
recognition (OCR) for MDI files (requires MS Office 2003+ Document
Imaging), it allows to copy parameters of the selected files to the clipboard for use by other applications.
The app has internal one-file database, supports own offline file system (My Images Space),
provides background image processing, powerful navigation means (History, Favorites, Clipboard Watcher, etc.), fast previews
and so on.
V1.5 is integrated with Network Installations Management. This technology together with Check for Update service allow easy install,
register, and update for plural app copies in corporate networks.
The application also supports multi-user and multi-platform solutions based on MS Terminal Server.
